On January 14, 2017, members of the Jamison Road Volunteer Fire Company, Benevolent, Ladies’ Auxiliary, and special guests from the community gathered to celebrate another year of service for the fire company and to install officers for the upcoming year.  The event, taken place at Kloc’s Grove, was evening full of gathering of friends, laughter, and witty stories from Master of Ceremonies and Attorney Dean Puleo.

In his Chief’s report, outgoing chief Howard Diehl presented a brief statement about the happenings in the past year in the fire company.  He said that the Jamison Road Volunteer Fire Company responded to 286 fire calls, with a majority being EMS related.  Otherwise, the fire company responded to a few vehicle accidents, small fires, and standbys for neighboring companies.

Along with the installation of officers for 2017, awards were presented to firefighters who went above and beyond their duties in 2016.  These include the Chief’s Award, presented to Daryl Nolan and the President’s Award, presented to Mike Rauff. Further awards recognized the Top 10 Responders of 2016; the 10 firefighters with the highest call responses in the past year.

The final award of the night was given not to a firefighter, but a member of the local community who has performed outstanding civil service. The Memorial Award Recipient was presented to Mark Andol, CEO of General Welding & Fabricating, Inc. and Made in America.  He has created his companies with the goal to “Save Our Country First” by operating a store in which only sells 100% American Made Goods and a company which focuses on keeping its business in America.   While presenting the award, fire company President Daryl Nolan said, “We talk about giving back to the community, Mark gives back to the country.”

Following the awards and presentations, the guests in attendance enjoyed entertainment provided by Nashville Recording Artist, Ricky Lee.
